Professor Dimitris Kiritsis is the chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates. He was a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, which he joined in 2002. He was also a postdoctoral fellow and professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yale University. He is Deputy Editorial Director of the International Journal of Alternative Propulsion and the Journal of Energy Engineering and serves on the editorial board of Combustion and Flame.<\/p>\n
