Local and Regional Development Workshop
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the website of the Local and Regional Development Laboratory of the University of Piraeus. Having already completed 8 years of operation, the Laboratory covers the broad field of development at local and regional level, thus contributing to the enrichment and support of the educational cooperation of the Department of Economic Science on regional development issues, in combination with the research promotion of the members of the research activity, making the Laboratory and, by extension, the University of Piraeus, a modern and attractive academic environment.
The Local and Regional Development Laboratory (LDRL) addresses economic issues in a wide range of local and regional policy areas, including taxation, healthcare, energy, education, development, inequality, trade, financial regulation, innovation and the environment. Laboratory staff have served in various consulting positions in the private sector or worked as consultants to both general and regional governments around the world.
